FourFourTwo Prize

I never bother entering competitions, especially online, you never win and you even doubt that someone even does, right? Well, when I noticed on Twitter that FourFourTwo were giving away two VIP tickets to the Crystal Palace v Leicester City match, and all I had to do to win was retweet the status, I thought fuck it I may as well.

So when they tweeted me on Thursday to say that I had won I couldn’t believe it! I didn’t even know when the match was – it turned out to be on the Saturday. I have a mate who’s a Palace fan so I immediately called him and we quickly booked our transport.

At first I wasn’t sure if I was going to go because it costs a lot to get to London, especially last minute, but I was planning on going to the Killie v Celtic game anyway, and I figured that I’d regret it if I didn’t because how often am I going to get to go in an executive box? Most likely never again.img_4311

I got the flight at 8:30 to Heathrow, landed at 10 and was with Tarik for 11:30 (long story about why he couldn’t fly). The box was amazing! We must have had the best one in the stadium. Bang in the middle of the pitch and looked twice as big as the other boxes around us! In there we got a 3 course meal, unlimited alcohol and complete VIP treatment.img_4325

We were hosted by Joe from FourFourTwo and his girlfriend, who were both great and they not only provided a good atmosphere but also gave me some insight into the industry that I want to work in.

I ended up chatting to a guy for about an hour before checking him on Google; it turns out he has 86 caps for England, played against Maradona and featured in over 300 games for Arsenal! And there was me telling him about how Killie has the best pies in Scottish football…

The game was end-to-end but thankfully Leicester came out on top with a goal from Mahrez. It was hard not to get soaked up in the Leicester story and I really hope that they pull off the impossible this year and win the league.

I just want to say a huge thanks to FourFourTwo and Head & Shoulders for the fantastic opportunity and it’s a day I’ll remember for the rest of my life!
